Jay Dean on Miles

Hi, I was very saddened to hear of Miles’ passing. He came to my studio, Dubrek in Derby UK, in 2017 and despite never meeting before the evening felt like time spent with an old friend. We exchanged stories about our lives, music and the state of the world. It stuck with me how his life was split between Italy and the USA. One life for his creativity and the other for his family. Miles was a joy to spend time with and we swapped emails a few times over the following years ultimately leading to him allowing me to put the recording (link below) of his Dubrek performance up on Bandcamp. His set was performed beautifully that night and I’m so glad I managed to capture it.
